SNOOP (our local spay and neuter charity) is in the running for a grant from Pepsi. This is the biggest opportunity we have ever had to help with the suffering of unwanted animals. We are begging and pleading (as we always seem to be doing) trying to get votes for our project. Can we prevail against the odds of the 1,000 others we are competing against?
The photo is of Wee Willie. We found her after someone abandoned her and she was nothing but a skeleton, so weak she couldn't eat or drink. We didn't think she would live through the night, but her will to live gladly proved us wrong. She is now strong and beautiful. Too many others only suffer before dying which is why we hope with all our hearts we can get the grant, but we've been disappointed so many times before.
Hello Marion, so pleased you enjoyed your visit.
ReplyDeleteI do hope that SNOOP win the grant, it's terribly hard on these lovely animals. It's a success story for 'Wee Willie' she looks well and beautiful now, did you adopt her? We've always had either Rescue cats or simply been adopted by cats who needed rescuing. Presently we have just two females, but we are visited a couple of times a day by a Ginger-Tom whom we've christened, 'Monty' because he's an old soldier. We lost Henry and George this year after 19 years and about 15 years.

Time marches on inexorably as you say Marion, as we get older it seems to be gone in a flash.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a pleasant week-end.
